Commitment to Quality
Columbia College is one of the only Canadian universities/colleges and the first post –secondary institution in Alberta to achieve International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 certification. This certification assures our customers (i.e. students) that we are committed to the ongoing development and delivery of educational programs and services of the highest quality. In order to maintain this certification we are required to apply best practice standards and continuously improve the quality of our programs and services to meet or exceed our customer (i.e. government, professional bodies, industry, and employers) requirements. We must also successfully complete an annual external audit.
The International Organization for Standardization is the world’s largest developer of organizational operating standards. ISO certification is recognized by over 160 countries with more than 600,000 organizations worldwide currently being registered such as businesses, governments, hospitals, and educational institutions such as Columbia College.
