Academic Upgrading Option

Students may pursue a bridging program by taking courses through the Academic Upgrading program and take preparatory courses for their particular professional program of interest. The Academic Upgrading program will enable students to normally enroll as full-time students in three courses per semester until they have achieved the entrance requirements for the applicable professional program they wish to complete. Some students may only need to enroll in one or two courses and as a result will be enrolled on a part-time basis.

This program is funded by Alberta Employment and Immigration. Students may be eligible to receive financial assistance to attend full-time or part time programming. Courses are also offered on a user-fee basis.

Students may enter this program at the beginning of most months. The program operates 12 months of the year. Students must be available and prepared to attend classes when scheduled during the day or evening.
