Columbia’s class sizes for the professional programs generally average 11 students. These small classes provide students with a unique post-secondary experience where they have access to their facilitators. All facilitators at Columbia College are practitioners and experts in their fields. This invaluable quality time with faculty builds confidence and skills in all of Columbia’s graduates. Facilitators at Columbia College assist learners by using any number of the following methods of course delivery: case studies, group presentations, lab activities, experiential activities, guest speakers, simulations, field trips, panels, debates, projects, discussions, role playing, and demonstrating as well as lecturing. Columbia’s students normally attend more hours of classes each day than individuals attending traditional programs. As a result, our students complete their programs in less time. The value of this comes from being able to start earning an income sooner. For students who do not feel confident that they will meet educational requirements for their program of choice have options at Columbia. One option is the free University Preparation courses that are offered. These free courses in Math, English, and Science (if needed) are specifically geared to assist students in entering a Columbia College professional program feeling confident in their abilities.
