Continuing Education – Academic Preparation – College Prep
What is the College Prep Program?
The College Prep Program consists of academic preparation courses that provide an accelerated path to help you meet the entrance requirements for admission to the professional program of your choice. These courses focus on developing the actual knowledge and skills you need related to your career goal.
Columbia College also has a College Prep Upgrading Distance Option available for students who live out of town and are unable to attend classes. “Living out of town” is defined as living far enough so that the person will need to move to Calgary in order to take a professional program. Please inquire from an Admission Advisor as to the details of the College Upgrading Distance Option.
What is the cost for these courses?
A 40 hour course is $250 to any individual who wishes to take a course. Textbooks are an additional cost.
Please discuss with your Admissions Advisor for upcoming available dates.
- Medical Terminology
These courses are offered over a 5-10 week semester, with class times scheduled twice during the week, between 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Exception: Medical Terminology is offered once per week for 10 weeks on Saturdays.
