Covid-19 Response and our Delivery of Services
College Prep classes will be moving to an online format beginning with Bio on March 17. Math and English will begin on schedule on March 18. Students will receive login instructions for Microsoft Teams. There will also be a video to show step-by-step instructions for logging in as soon as it is complete. At this time, students will require access to a computer to complete their course. We are currently investigating alternatives if a student does not have access to a computer.
At this time, all College Prep classes will be delivered to students through a distance learning model. Each course will continue to be scheduled in their regular semesters, and will be expected to be delivered in the same time period as their face-to-face classes were. Classes may include (but are not limited to):
- Interactive webinars
- Discussion forums
- Group work
- Daily Tests
Columbia College will continue to prepare to welcome May students into our next intake in May 2020. Please note that in consideration of the direction provided by the Alberta Health Services at that time, the delivery method of the program may include distance learning activities for some or all of the courses. If you have questions about our May intake, please reach out to us as we look forward hearing from you.
Columbia College offers you the opportunity to develop personally and professionally in a small, supportive environment. We encourage you to commit to yourself and your development, try our courses, and improve your own opportunities and possibilities.
Our Continuing Education Upgrading Courses are open to anyone who wants to improve their knowledge and skills. To meet your needs, we schedule our courses at various times and dates throughout the year.
